Super Stu’s Top 100 Reasons For Wanting To Be A Tripawd!

Posted by: | August 21, 2017 | 14 Comments |

In case some of you don’t know me, my name is Stewie. (aka Super Stu, or Stewart! Especially when my Mum is mad!) I am 7 years old and my Mum tells me that I’m a big boy! I have to step onto that big black table on the floor at the doctors office and the numbers tell them that I weigh 49.9kg (110lbs)! Is this why they tell me I’m not very good at being a lap dog?!

“I’m all played out!”

My Mum & Dad tell me my original pack were a mix of Bernese Mountain Dog, Rottweiler and Retriever. Everybody tells me I’m terribly handsome and I have to agree with them!

I can’t remember too much about the whole ordeal, but my Pawrents tell me that I have OSC and that they needed to take my front left leg off, so that I wouldn’t have that horrid pain anymore. I’m glad they did, ’cause it feels much better now. I look even more handsome now, because I’m not frowning in pain anymore!

The big drag about this OSC cancer thing, is that I have to get poked every other week, so that they can take my blood out of me and then put some horrid poison stuff back in! Apparently it is supposed to kill off those nasty cancer cells, so I guess I’ll put up with the poking, if it means that I can spend more quality time with my Mum & Dad! I Ruv, Ruv, Ruv them so much! I’ll just take it out on Hedgehog, I Ruv to hear him Squeak!

I am now six weeks without my front leg and I feel great! (Other than the horrid pokey time, then I feel kinda tired and I don’t eat much for a couple of days.) I know my Pawrents have had a really rough time, even though I have tried to be an excellent patient and listen when my Mum tells me not to lick. I know that I’ve done good, ’cause all that horrible extra fluid is all gone and my new tattoo (that’s what I call my cool looking scar!) is hardly noticeable under my new fur that growing back.

Stewie & his brother, Chester Molester!

I wanted to do something special for my pawrents and so I came up with the “Top 10 Reasons Why A Dog Should Become A Super Tripawd!” I figured this should make them smile…

🐾Treats& More Treats!
🐾Only Three Feet to Trim Nails For & only 1 dewclaw!
🐾Tons & Tons Of Belly Rubs
🐾Short walks on lazy days (that’s most days…!)
🐾Priority over my feline brothers & sister! Ha!
🐾Comfy, Padded Harness
🐾Special place of honour in the living room
🐾Air conditioned shave down for hot summer days showing a new stylin’ hair cut!
🐾We make people “Super Hoppy” when they see us!
🐾Most importantly, you become a superstar with your own Tripawds website and blog!

Here are another couple of reasons from Sally & her wonderful alumni… Thank you Sally!😘

*Edited*  “I think you can add a #11: A Tripawd never hears the word “NO” anymore! They can get away with anything, anytime! That means you won’t be called STEWART anymore because your human can never get mad!! 🙂

There is also a #12: Super Stu now has his very own massive SUPER STU FAN CLUB!!! Everyone in your Tripawds family is cheering for you and we are all in your Fan Club! 🙂”        👍👏❤

Rusty & Amy have added #13-#16. Excellent Suggestions Rusty, I can’t believe I forgot these… we may have to revise up to the Top 30!!!

*Edited* Rusty has a few items for the Top 20 list –
#13 Bathtime is shorter! Less shampoo + less scrubbing + less rinsing + less drying time = faster turnaround to treats!

#14 Physical Therapy and daily hops! PT is really just code for more treats and daily hops around the neighborhood are so much fun!

#15 Sneak attacks – Tripawds may look like they are harmless but they are not. (Isn’t that right Stewie’s hedgehog?)

#16 Ampuversaries! Celebrating special days with cake and ice cream and party hats – what’s better than that?

Mister Rusty is still over there yammering on about why Tripawds are the best but I told him we need to let someone else get a turn at the list!” 👍👏❤

*Edited* Jerry’s Pack made an excellent addition…

#17 “Oh and one more to add: One less muddy paw to clean during mud season!”

*Edited* Sally & Alumni have added another genius reason… Thanks Sally! 😆👏

#18 “Its All About Super Stu!!!”

#19 “New and Imoroved Bond Between Fur Babies and Pawrents!” (Thanks Paka Tom!)

#20 “An Endless Amount of Hedgies!” (Thankth Thally!)

Yay we made it to the Top 20… let’s keep it going!

We’re now shooting for the Top 💯 list!

——————————————–

Here are some pictures of me and my awesome people that I spent time with this week… I even got to go on another boat ride on The Toaster! I’m such a lucky fella!

“Me & My People on The Toaster!”

A beautiful day out on Toasty McBoaty

I’m glad my Mum let me write this weeks blog, I was going to nibble ather ankles if she forgot again! Thanks for letting me entertain you, I really enjoy this blog thing… A huge thank you as well to all of the tripawds community, you make my Mum feel really good and she gives me lots of smooches and kisses and soft murmured words after she has finished tapping her little Pad thing with you all…

oh…! I almost forgot to tell you… I caught two Raskety Rats this week! Those Raskety Rodents are always trying to move in at this time of year! My Mum calls them Pack Rats and she says they are kinda cute in a Mickey Mouse sort of way! But I say get rid of them… they smell awful and they’re hoarders! It’s a good thing Hedgegog lets me practice my skills on him, phew! It was exciting, but exhausting work! Who said 3 legs was a disability?!

So until next time, Paws up and keep wagging!
Sloppy kisses from Stewie👅🐾
& all the very best from his adoring pack! 🐾🐾🐾❤

Here are some from Rusty “The Bunnyman” our new tripawd cat.

Breakfast in bed (or wherever you may be lying at the moment)

Get to sleep wherever you want, even if it means you are in Mommy or Daddy’s spot on the bed. The couch is comfy for them to sleep on, isn’t it?

    Scratching pads in every room!

Stairs to EVERYWHERE-your favorite chair, the window, each couch, Mommy and Daddy’s bed.

All the wet food and treats!

I can’t believe you caught a pack rat. WOW! You prove there is nothing stopping a hoppy dog on three. Keep up the pawesome rodent patrol my friend, we may have you shipped over here to Colorado where we have plenty up these mountains.

      Thanks Jerry’s Pack!
I would Ruv to visit Colorado… If there’s Raskety Rodents there… I’ll get ’em!
You’re addition to the Top 10 List is an excellent suggestion! I forgot about that one! That’ll be #17 on the list I believe…

Hey, Super Stu! It’s your ampuversary twin, Bailey! So, so glad you are doing so well! I had my second round Monday, and I am very tired this time. That is until I hear my dad’s car drive up. Then I get all sorts of energy.
I agree with your list. Aren’t all those treats great!
I love your post and pictures. You are very handsome!

Hey there T.T.BAILEY! (that’s my new name for you… Tripawd Twin Bailey!)
It good to know that I am going through this with you pal! I understand the tiredness, I get that too, but if I hear the word treat, I am in the kitchen like a dirty plate! The energy is there, I just don’t want to waste it! 😂
Do you have a blog going Bailey? I’d love to see some pictures of you.
Thank you for your compliments, I really do enjoy all of the attention… I hear people tell me all the time how handsome I am and I just grin and my Mum says thank you very much!
      Until next time T.T Bailey

No blog. My mom can’t figure out! You are too smart for your own good. My first dad (now my uncle as his mom and dad got me at 2. Some silly rule about not allowing Rottweilers in apartments. Then they wouldn’t give me back. He still calls me daily and comes to see me.) Anyway, I was raised in Lubbock Texas as a Texas Tech (TT) Red Raider! Now I am TT Tripawd Twin, too!
She tried to add a photo here but could not figure that out either.

Stewie wants to send sloppy kisses to Sally & her Alumni and Amy & Rusty for making excellent additions to Stewie’s Top 10…20 Reasons For Wanting To Become A Tripawd!
Check out the list above and make some suggestions… Stewie will add them in! Maybe we’ll make it to the Top 25 Reasons…!

I had a bit of a laugh the other day… I had mentioned the title of Stewie’s blog to a couple of friends and they were a bit shocked at the title “… for wanting to become a Tripawd…”
But I tried to tell them that when you have no choice in the matter, you may as well make the most of it! I hope others will find the humour in the title & not the horror!😉

    Sloppy kisses from Stewie👅🐾

Thanks Super Stu we would love to join you on the Toaster sometime! We LOVE your theme song – of course you have a superhero theme, of course you do. We will sing it too!

Rusty has a few items for the Top 20 list –
#13 Bathtime is shorter! Less shampoo + less scrubbing + less rinsing + less drying time = faster turnaround to treats!

#14 Physical Therapy and daily hops! PT is really just code for more treats and daily hops around the neighborhood are so much fun!

Super Stewie! (and yes I always say it in a sing song voice to denote that he is an action hero)
What a great post buddy! I whole heartedly second Sally’s list additions. Rusty and I are in the fan club too. Love that video and the fact that you are leader of a cat pack. Glad you got a ride on the Toaster! Looks like fun.
Thank you for such a fun post I just shared the list with Rusty and he agrees. So glad you are doing well.
    ❤️ Amy & Rusty

Good day to you Amy & Rusty!

My Mum Sings my name too! Her tune sounds like the Spider-Man theme…
      “Super Stu, Super Stu,
Does what any old dog can do
      Catches Rats anytime
      Spins around, on a dime
Look Out… Here comes the Super Stu, yeah!
Here comes the Super Stuuuuuuu!!!” 😂

Pretty funny heh!? I grin when she sings me that song! All of my siblings have their own song, we all think it’s hilarious!

Thanks for joining my fan club Rusty, it looks like you have a super following too! See, Everybody Ruvs A Tripawd! Do you have any suggestions to add to the now, Top 20 list?

If you and your Mum ever make it to British Columbia, in Canada, we’ll take you for a boat ride on the Toaster too!

      Sloppy kisses from Stewie👅🐾
& all the very best from his adoring pack! 🐾🐾🐾❤️

STEWIE! STEWIE! STEWIE!!!!! 🙂 🙂 You are an EXCELLENT BLOG WRITER!!! You are always spot on, smart and witty!!! And you sure know how to find all the pawsitives in what many humans sometimes see as a “challenging journey”

You’ve nailed the TOP TEN REASONS FOR WANTING TO BE A TRIPAWD!!!

I think you can add a #11: A Tripawd never hears the word “NO” anymore!

I adore all these pictures of your sweet smoochable self!! And you jave very cute pack members too! It’s pretty easy to see your heritage that makes up your handsome good looks. What do you think the kitties have in their genetics?

Okay Mickey Mouse catching Tripawd, we look forward to more blog updates and more stories of how you are being spoiled!:-)

    Hugs and smooches!

Sally and Alumni Happy Hannah and Merry Myrtle and Frankie too!

Why Thank you Sally! I keep telling my Mum that I’m better at this blog writing than she is! Pawsitive attitude is what this is all about right! I’m all about challenges… bring back that bear 🐻 I’m ready for him! Did you see me wrestle Hedgehog Sally?! I do let him win sometimes…

Excellent additions to the Top 10 list Sally! Thank you VERY much for those! My Mum really laughed at the ‘no more NO’s’! She said it’s true!😉 I think we should make it the Top 20 list & see if anypup can add more Good Reasons…

So my feline siblings were all adopted, like I was, but our Mum & Dad have their ideas as to who their pawrents were… Mr. Spike (18yrs) is the Master of this household, he is a Maine Coon blend and if he gives you ‘the look’, you’d better be doing SOMETHING for him! Chester Molester (3yrs) is a red headed devilish Ragdoll/tabby mix & Miss Lily (2yrs) is a Flame Point Siamese. A right prisssy, proper little Madame!

I’ll be keeping an eye out and my nose to the ground for those Raskety Mickey Mouses!

Cheers to you Sally and gang, I really Ruv reading your comments! Talk about a Pawsitive Attitude, you got it!

      Sloppy kisses from Stewie👅🐾
& all the very best from his adoring pack! 🐾🐾🐾❤️
