Super Stu’s 6 Month Ampuversary!

Hoppy 2018 everyone!
I hope you all had as good a Christmas season as I had?! So much to tell…

“I got a new Hedgie for Christmas!”

HEDGIE’S… I GOT ANOTHER HEDGIE FOR CHRISTMAS YOU GUYS!!! He has the best squeak evah!!!And Cheezy biscuits that Dad doesn’t like! Hehehehe, he still touched them though, he Ruvs me that much!

I had a real Christmas dinner too!!! I had turkey and mashed potatoes, carrots and all if it smothered in gravy! I RUV Christmas! And I got a bully stick, oh how I Ruv my bully stick!!!

My brothers and sister had a great Christmas too… they got a new scratch toy with honey suckle infused catnip. They got a gazillion balls with bells inside, that they Ruv to chase around the kitchen.

AND…. we all got a NEW BROTHER!!!!🙀😻 Yes, That’s him at the end of the couch… I have to pretend to ignore him! Sheeeesh! He’s pretty hard to ignore you guys!

“I know Teddy’s there!”

His name is Ted, aka Tedwardo, Tedster, Tedmeister and Teddy Bear! He’s right stocky like and plays with Chester like a real fella.

I have to wait patiently while the catsssss get to romp and then I get my Hedgie time!!! Boy oh boy, can I evah rip the stuffing out of these fellas! My Aunty has a gazillion Hedgies to re-stuff for me. She tried making stuffed toys for me, but there’s nothin’ like the taste of a good Hedgehog! Otherwise my Mum is going to lay them all out in the woods for me to find… that could be fun too! The Hedgies get a taste of the real world… I get to hunt and they get to hide in the woods! Win, win right?!

“I’m watching for my Hedgies!”

What an exciting 6 months it’s been Tripawd friends. I have a new leash (oops, I mean lease!) on life and my Mum & Dad tell me how lucky they are that I am with them still! I mean, I’m here right… where else am I gonna go?! Sheeeesh, my pawrents think waaaaay too hard on the foooture! I don’t intend on going anywhere… my 8th Birthday is coming up in February and my pawrents have told me that we’re going to have a massive Pawty! I’m gonna get a Bully stick & a new Hedgie, I know I am… I can smell it now!!!

“Waiting for my Bully stick!”

Mum and I started off our new year with a day at the spa together. I get soooo relaxed when Miss Leslie puts her hands along my spine. After that she pokes me with her laser pen thing, which feels kinda neat. Miss Leslie says the pen is magic and gets rid of icky stuff inside my Y’organs! I then get to lay on my blanket that Mum brings in for me (‘cause the floors are slippery), while she gets her back and neck hole punched and then massaged. We’re both super sleepy after and Mum always jumps in the bath tub when we get home. She tells me it would make me feel good too, but I’m afraid we wouldn’t fit in the tub together!

“Waiting for my moment at the Spa!”

For now I get to romp in the snow and stick my head into snow banks and just generally have a bloomin’ Hoppy Life! Here’s to Hoppy days in 2018 my friends!!!

“Oh how I love the snow!”

Super Stu’s 5 Month Ampuversary!

Hi folks, Stewie here again!

Here I am celebrating my 5 Month Ampuversary, well 5 months and 5 daze to be exact, and I swear, I’ve never been hoppier! (sorry I’m a bit late getting around to it… Mum is always doing something on her iPawd! Sheesh! What’s a dawg to do to get some attention around this nuthouse!)

Super Stu enjoying life to the fullest!

It’s been an eventful busy month, but Christmas is coming and I know that Mum has a hidden stash of mine somewhere, I can smell it!!! Maybe a new Hedgie?!!! I’ll letcha all know!

I got to go to our annual Remembrance Day service with my Mum & Dad and I got to sing some old war songs with lots of other people… once again, I was the star! I didn’t mean to take away from the importance of the people that have fought for our countries, but maybe I was a good distraction from any sadness.

One of the most exciting things that happened this month was when my Mum & Dad recorded another music CD! A really nice guy named Jordan, came to our home for 5 daze and I watched my pawrents sing their hearts out for hours and hours and hours!
I watched every minute of it, ‘cause I got lots of loving from Jordan. We even got to go outside at midnight so that Mum & Dad’s heads could be recorded for a video that will be put up on Much Music! It’s going to be groovin’ dudes!
Jordan was going to get some family pictures, but unfortunately we ran out of time. That’s okay though, ‘cause Mum takes Lots if pictures of me ALL the time! (it’s actually hard for a guy to have a snooze around here!!!

Midnight snooze on the couch!

I spent two relaxing sessions with Miss Leslie this month. She treated me with acoooopuncture which helps to wage war against those icky 💩C cells and my Ortho-Bionomy, which feels really weird at the time, but soooo good afterwards! Miss Leslie has really tasty treats for me afterwards too! Mum says those kind aren’t very good for me, but how bad can they really be, when the taste so yummy!?!

And you’d never guess what…? Mum came with me to my last treatment and had the same thing done on her! Of course she gets to lie up on the comfy table, I only get the hard floor. She gets real tiny needles in her, where I thankfully get the red pen looking thing that they call a lazer! Cool heh?!? She gets like an hours worth of Ortho treatment , where I only get a sucky 20! But Miss Leslie made up for it when I got the run of her office! I got to slobber over this patient guy, who said “He’s only got 3 legs!?” Sheeesh, you’d think that was obvious heh! And then he made fun of my scraggy tail! I wanted to nip at his ankles for that! I mean, it’s not my fault that someone shaved my tail off entirely years ago. I’m just lucky that it grew back or I’d be a Tail-less, paw-less Tripawd!!! I forgave the patient man ‘cause he gave me one of those yummy treats!
I really don’t mind that Mum gets a little better treatment, she is in a lot of Pain lately and Dad and I can only do so much for her! She says it’s nothing that she can’t handle, so we’re not to worry!

On the downer side….I had an accidental accident and I got confined to my living room for two weeks, ‘cuz I hurt my leg and neck when having a hoppy time at my bestest friends house! It felt really, really bad and I had to be put back on bedrest and have those nasty tasting medz! The only reason my Mum gets away with this stuff is because she gave me lots of extra tasty treats to make it all okay! After making me stay on my bedrest for two hole weeks! I was back to my normal hoppy, Hedgie loving self!

Super Stu not feeling so super! “But still smoochable in my new Tripawds bandanna right?!

Mum now has me booked every week for my special acooooopuncture and Ortho-Bionomy treatments, so that we can stay on top of my hoppiness! Both of us get a spa day together! I think her neck issues are just to make me feel like I’m not alone!!!

Tuckered out!

Unpawtunately my pawrents missed their annual Christmas trip to see their family because they were so worried about me. I kinda feel bad about it, but I kinda don’t, ‘cause I don’t get to go with them on such a long busy trip and would have to stay with my favourite person, Anne. Now don’t get me wrong I Ruv staying with her, but I Ruv my Mum & Dad more!

“I so ruv my Auntie!”

My Mum is a volunteer for a local group call P.A.L.S. (Protecting Animal Life Society) and she had fun working at the Annual Christmas Fair. She got me a big ring of dog biscuits… I also know that it is supposed to surprise me on Christmas morning, but my nose… oh my wonderful nose! The only reason I havent snuck a nibble is cause she keeps them in her bedroom and only the catsssss are allowed in there. I’ll be really mad if they nibble on my treats before I do!

Another thing my mum did this month for P.A.L.S. was to assist in the trapping & transportation of a stray cat to and from the vets for nootering. (poor fella, I totally sympathize! It doesn’t matter the species it’s about the principle and the pain!!) She had also organized for the Foster family, so when she got a call from said Foster family telling her that the cat was first trapped in the wall and then not to worry ‘cuz said cat had fallen through the ceiling, she and Dad made the immediate decision to bring the said cat home to our house!!!

Me and my Pack are slowly getting to know this very big fella. Mum & Dad call him Ted. He has paws the size of a Panda Bears so Mum calls him TeddyBear. Mum calls him a Foster, but she has said that he will more than likely be a failed Foster and I think my Mum is okay with that, even though she said that there would be absolutely no more cats in the house after Miss Lily, but this fella has a really big purrsonality and she said she can’t ignore him!
Now, I know I moved into a mad cattery when I found my furever family almost 3 years ago, but there was only 2 catsssss in the house… now there are 4! Count them you guys… Spitfire Spikey, Chester Molester, Prissy Miss Lily & now Foster Ted! I don’t even know if Ted likes me… he runs to his safe place when I hop on by! But I peaked around the corner last night when he was lovin’ my Mum & Dad and I have to admit, he’s a pretty Cool McCool!

We’ve had a couple of snowfalls this month, but nothing too serious, my Mum says it might not be a very white Christmas this year, but we still managed to get our 🎄 tree up in time!

I’m sorry once again that my Ampuversary blog is late, but I didn’t think any of you would mind.

WISHING YOU ALL A VERY HOPPY CHRISTMAS AND BEST WISHES FOR 2018!!!❤

Rots Of Ruv From Stewie and his Prideful Pack ❤

Hi Folks

My name is Stewie and I was born in February, 2010. My Hoomans have told me that my parents were a mix of Bernese Mountain dog, Rottweiler & Retriever.

Super Stu Mountain Dog!

Meet Super Stu’s Mummy.

Me as a baby, right smack in the middle!

I think i ate too much ice cream!

Ever since I can remember, I have been told that I am sooooo adorable! I have been loved by all, but tamed by few! I am a very smart boy and I know that with one of my many doe eyed looks, I could pretty muchg get away with anything!

These lips were made for kisses… who wants one?!

I will always remember & be forever grateful to my first home with my Hoomans, Aunty Sandy & Aunty Val. Not only did they introduce me to the wonderful world of  true hooman love and treats, but they have always had open arms when I needed to come back to them. The bonus was that whenever I wanted, I would jump over my fence and trot downtown, to my Aunty Val’s store. She would always let me hang out in the back room while she was working. I would also go and visit my Aunty Sandy at her work. Her bosses usually let me stay for a visit.

You see,  even though I am the most lovable dog in the world to most hoomans, I wasn’t told how to behave around other animals. Whether it was to play a little more gently, or to stop when I felt the urge to run after something. (especially when they are moving really fast away from me!) I couldn’t help myself, my gut told me to do it! Honest!

"Aren't I?"

I Think I’m a Big Boy Now!

I have gotten myself into a lot of naughty situations, I’m a little embarrassed to talk about them actually. But this is what has caused me to go from one home to another & another & another… let’s just say I remember a lot of of other faces & places.

One of my saddest experience was with my Hoomans Mrs Cathy & Mr Doug. They called me Quinn. They absolutely adored me, but they couldn’t dedicate their time to me, as  Mrs Cathy got sick with cancer. I lived with them for 3 whole years, before Mrs Cathy went to her Rainbow Bridge. So once again I had to go back to my Aunty Sandy.

I remember meeting my (future) pawrents at my Aunty’s store. They would always ask to see me and I would come flying around the corner so that they could lavish their adoration all over me. I didn’t know it at the time, but if my Paul and my Petra hadn’t had a beautiful Great Pyranese to fill their home, they would definitely have taken me in as their forever pet!

If I had known back then, I might have been a little jealous, but I was very sorry to hear that they lost their Abbey girl to Brain Cancer in April of 2015.

Mum told me this story much later, but what I came ro understand was that Dad had said to Mum after they had lost their Abbey girl, “What do you think about getting another dog?” To which Mum had replied, “Not so soon & definitely not another big dog as it is horrid taking care of them when they get sick, ’cause you can’t just pick them up in your arms to give them a proper cuddle…” To which my Dad replied, “what about Stewie?” I guess it didn’t take long for my Mum to say “Okay, let’s go see Sandy” There has never been a luckier pup alive at that moment in the whole universe!

It was Easter weekend that I went to (originally just spend the night!)  my future Mum & Dads place, as they weren’t sure if I was going to behave around their cat kids, Spike & Chester. But I had other plans…

When I arrived I Knew I had to be on my best behaviour. I could already tell that I really, really, REALLY wanted to stay!  This place was a dogs heaven on earth, I mean you should see it! Acres of paths to run around, a run around vehicle that I get to hop into and the lake! I could run along the shores for miles if I wanted! There’s no fences, so I had to prove to them that I wouldn’t runaway, but that would take time. There were bears to chase away and lord knows, tons of other critters that could hurt this precious family! I needed to stay here!

That first day, Easter weekend 2015, (a date I will never forget!) they took me down to the beach and I couldn’t hold myself back! I ran and I ran & after that I ran circles around these wonderful people, telling them that I love it and could I stay, PLEASE, PLEASE, PLEASE!!! They were laughing right along with me, I knew I had them hooked by that point!

But that was when my bum shoulder kicked in! Because I am a jumper, I wrenched my shoulder a while back and sometimes it hits really hard and it hurts really bad! I was worried that they wouldn’t want me because I was broken, but my new Humans were super concerned and because they have huge hearts, they decided, pretty much right then that I would be a part of their family forever!

“I am so not moving!”

Dad loves his Boy!

A Day Out On The Toaster

A beautiful day out on The Toaster!

My life has never been the same since! I am the happiest luckiest dog in the world and I would do anything for my Mum and Dad and my sister and brothers. I’ll make sure that nothing ever hurts them while I am here on this planet!

please stay tuned to my story. Mum said that she is going to write the next post, as it gets a bit more emotional for me to talk about. plus Mum types quicker Than I do! So until then all you brave Tripawds out there, make room for me ’cause Stewie will be entering the building! Ha! (that was just a little Hoomans hoomer!)
